If they are about to hit a sector with 4 seige camps but you can eliminate 3 of them by closing a sector, I will almost always still close it to force them to eat that attrition even if it gives them some timer advantage. And it’s worth noting that the way to force your enemy to close a sector is you or your allies on the map have to threaten to poof them.ģ) Force them to eat attrition - unless a guild has a ton of high level fighters, attrition will become a barrier at some point. Their sector will open first, and you take it before your sector even opens. This way you can wait at least a few minutes after they close their sector to close your sector and you will have timer advantage in 4 hours. If they do you ideally want to wait for them to close or force them to close first. Regardless, I’ve coordinated GBG at a very high level for top guilds for quite some time and it’s impossible to give anyone a playbook on when to or not to close sectors but every situation needs to be evaluated and these are roughly the criteria I use to judge and weigh each scenario ġ) Poofing ability - can you poof or eliminate a large pre-loaded flag of your enemy by closing? If so, rush and close it (try to catch them sleeping).Ģ) Adjacent Timer advantages - before closing a sector you need to see if your enemy has a pre-loaded flag on an adjacent sector. You don’t by chance play on L world on the US server do you?
